13th Annual Hope House Fashion Show

I wonder if I'm going to be able to include model on my resume under job experience, now that I'm in my second year of modeling for the Hope House Fashion Show. Okay, maybe not. But, I really am feeling cool and confident about this year's event since I have last year under my belt.

October 28th marks the 13th Annual Hope House Fashion Show. It's a fun filled event with wine tasting from 11 to noon. After that, it's time for the fashion show and lunch. About a dozen people including myself, Spokane Police Officer Teresa Fuller, and Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown, will strut the runway with gear from local boutiques.

It's all in an effort to raise money for the Volunteers of America Hope House, a homeless women's shelter in Downtown Spokane. It's website says Hope House offers refuge from the dangerous streets to any woman regardless of her mental health status, chemical dependency issues or lifestyle.

If I weren't going to be on the catwalk (ha), I'd likely attend the event for the fun, which also includes a silent auction and raffle. If you're interested in helping the cause, there are still tickets available. They're $40 a person and $300 a table. For tickets or to become a sponsor, call Mary Tracey at 509.624.2378 x 104.
