As last week's deputy shootings broke out, a press release was emailed by the Spokane County Sheriff's Office regarding a missing man. Because of the breaking news coverage across Spokane, many missed the alert.
According to Deputy Craig Chamberlin, the man is still missing. Gregory Kachur, 49, was reported missing last week on Monday, June 11. His mother told a Sheriff's deputy that he hadn't been seen since May 31 around 6:30 p.m.
Kachur watches over his mother for a living at her residence near the 9400 block of East Montgomery Ave. in Spokane Valley. He was supposed to stop by June 4th, but never showed up. She says he's never been like this in the past.
The missing man was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket and dark colored pants. Kachur's mother said he would go to the CHAS clinic if he had any medical needs.
If you have any information regarding Kachur's whereabouts, you're asked to call Detective Keyser and (509) 477-6611.
