Horizon Needs Help Getting Its Field Ready | Sports & Recreation

The first full day of Spring is tomorrow.  That means it's time for our kids to hit the tennis courts, the track and the softball and baseball fields.

Horizon Middle School needs some help with it's field.  Since last season ended, the baseball field has absorbed some damage.

In an effort to get the field in better shape to make playing safer and more enjoyable for the student athletes, the school is putting out the call for help.  It's asking anyone who has expertise and/or equipment to help with the following:

• Rebuild the pitchers mound
• Cut away sod in areas around the mound and replace with new sod
• Spread baseball dirt on the infield
• Various field maintenance
