Three U-Hi Athletes sign with D-1 schools | Sports & Recreation

Any day one of your students signs on with a Division One school is a big day. University High School has that big day, three times over! This morning, three U-Hi seniors gathered in a conference room to sign D-1 Athletic Scholarships.

Division 1 is the highest level of intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) in the United States.

• Brett Bailey will sign with the University of San Diego on a basketball scholarship. The GSL (Greater Spokane League) MVP and First Team All-State player joins the USD Toreros.
• Addisynn Bursch, an Olympic Trials swimmer will join the Wolfpack at North Carolina State University.
• Kayleigh Valley, a First Team All GSL volleyball and basketball player will sign a basketball scholarship with the University of Montana and become a “Lady Griz”.
