Dubious Weather Distinctions | Weather

We're breaking more weather records in the Inland Northwest.  Today, it was for SNOW, much to the dismay of many neighbors.  Spokane International Airport picked up 0.5" of snow this afternoon and evening.  The previous record for April 18th was only a trace set back in 2005.  Records have been kept for Spokane since 1881.  We're also on track for another record that we might prefer to avoid: the LATEST date we've hit 60 degrees.  So far, the warmest it's been this season is 59 degrees back on March 31st.  The record for the latest date to hit 60 degrees is April 22nd, set back in 1917.  I don't think we'll be close to 60 until at least the 23rd.
